Yeah, there are down sides to being self-employed/ supported by husband though - no $$$$$. :-P So I just need enough skill to get in on that... I think it is actually easier to get to Penland - you can do work-study there. But it still costs some money. And their catalog is not quite as inspiring this year as it was a few years ago. I fully intend to apply there again in the future though. My hope for Pilchuk is to be cool enough that I get a scholarship or good enough that I can be an assistant. I have had the chance to assist some pretty cool glassblowers locally, so if I practice up I may be able to finagle my way in, we will see...
