I generally use powder, mostly because I am too lazy to heat up rod. Also, powder cam be put on in a thin coat that spreads out to be lighter. I like steel blue for a nice medievally light blue-grey color. I am doing sample bubbles of a lot of my colors, including greens, so if I find a particularly good one I will let you know.
