Good about the only a small amount of carpal tunnel. I have potter friends who claim they avoid it by regular stretching. The surgery was less advanced when I was first diagnosed, which is why I was anxious to avoid it, I think they do a better job now and I hope your Mom got the more advanced surgery.
Also, good luck with your other wrist problem, may it fade completely and rapidly.
