You're using the CF rather than the xD slot? we have an XD card you can borrow to check if it's the slot. (ps the CF stores slower than the xd, you should be using that anyway) Other than that, considering the age of the camera it's prolly cheaper to buy a new one than try to fix the old one. Love my FinePix, though. LOVE.
