Life, Home, DC, Connecticut
Jun. 3rd, 2003 09:35 amSo I went to Connecticut this weekend and saw the half of my family I haven't seen in eleven years. It was less weird than I thought but they kept trying to give me stuff - trying to make up for lost time I guess. Everyone was very nice and we got along well, but I am soooo glad my mom was a rebel and moved away - all my cousins have their lives planned out for them - they go to private primary schools, then fairfield prep., and then Fairfield University where they get their Masters in Business Finance, and then they work in a big company for too many hours and make tons of money but have no time for a real life. As long as it makes them happy... but can you see me having done that? :-P Oh yeah, and they are really catholic.
I go home tomorrow!!!! By midnight tomorrow I should be back in my own house with my Hank and my cats.... soooo nice... can't wait!
DC has had cools points, and I will miss some of the people I have met, but it will be so good to be home. And Hank's work actually gave everyone the rest of the week off because they finally finished their project! SO I will get him all to myself for at least a few days. Very cool.
