Mar. 28th, 2004 08:38 pmWell, I am encredibly sleepy but don't want to go to sleep. School stats again tomorrow and I barely feel like I have had a break. So, what has been happening with my life? I really only got half of a spring break due to working on my thesis and another art history paper.
Lisa, dad and I taught an Ithra class on the history of blown glass vessels yesturday in Forest Grove - was sort of fun even though we didn't get to show a lot of our pictures because the Ithra people had to go buy another cord so we could hook up the laptop to the TV to show our pictures which were on CD.
Annie was up here so after the Ithra I helped her give some more money to the Indians. It was actually a very effective way to distract ourselves from the depression of the day. As usual we were comped a buffet dinenr. This is the first time we have been there during peak dinner hours - it was fun to stand in the stupid people who spend too much money, um, I mean, special people, line. Then we watched two movies which looked bad but actually ended up being kinda' fun - SWAT and some random romatic comedy about a romance writer and a stenographer.
Today we went to the mall. Annie got a nifty headband to wear since she misses having hair to do things with, and I got some body-piercing type earings to put in the four upper most holes in my ears so that they won't close up. Then I got Annie to help put them in. My ears are not very happy - I havn't worn earings in them regularly for about 4 months and I just put 18 gauge wires through them. Ah well, I have been meaning to do it for a while and they will only be sore for a few days. I keep being tempted to start stretching my lower ear holes so I can put one of those gems or a funky looking claw through them, but never get around to it. I have the perfect ears for it since I have nice thick earlobes.
