Mar. 29th, 2005 03:45 pmI have been avoiding writing in my live journal in order to not have to post the sad sad news that no grad schools love me. The only place that didn't send me a rejection letter this year was U of O, and I am on the waiting list there for one of three spots. I am still accepted at UNC Chapel Hill and Temple from last years applications, but Temple has no money for me, and I am still waiting on Chapel Hill to make a decision about if they might give me funding. It is really annoying and kind of embarrassing considering how hard I have worked the last four and a half years. They all suck. Not sure exactly what I am going to do with my life now - I am still waiting on U of O and Chapel Hill... who knows, miracles may happen, but I am not holding my breath.
On a brighter note, my rock climbing is getting better. I was stuck on this 5-9 that I kept trying, and last night I managed to get past that spot and now I can get about half the way up the rout, which is a definite improvement. I can actually get to the crux of the rout now... I just have to get past that next.
Also, mom bought me some pillars. They are cool. She said I could pay her back if I actually ever sell the sculptures they will be in.
Overall conclusion: schools = bad, climbing = good, art supplies = good.
