*YAWN* I don't know what is with me - I am so tired all the time... But at least my life will be changing somewhat, which is good.

I am going to go blow glass tonight with Matthew (the guy who helps run the glass shop) and work on the glasses for [community profile] pandorasbox . This will be fun - I haven't blown glass for a few weeks. And blowing glass with Mathew is always good for me since he has a lot more experience than I do. Apparently news of my England adventure is getting around because he called me yesterday and mentioned it. His comment was. " So how are you going to do it?" I said, "By going into debt and spending all summer paying it off." His response was. " Good girl." :-) Ah, we responsible artists. Luckily I am getting a lot of soldering these days and you guys are coming through with those commissions - thank you! Thanks a bunch those of you who have been spreading the word too - I have had random emails from a few scadians asking about what I have for sale which is excellent! Next project is getting a web page up with pics of what I have for sale and the types of stuff I can do commissions for - I just need to get off my but and do it. That may be tomorrows project. So I have a fondness for hand-made neat pottery probably born while growing up using things that my mom and grandfather made. I am fed up with our little white cups and I want nice large coffee mugs that look neat and harmonise with the random array of hand-blown glasses in our kitchen cabinent. I know that hanksan will probably get annoyed about this, but yes dear, if we get more cups we can ditch the old ones we have right now (although we need a certain amount of decent sized coffee/ tea cups to water our guests!). I am fond of the ones at Portland Saturday market with the two-tone glazes, but I might feel better buying from a scadian. I got a cup from someone local, but unfortunently the handles she makes just don't hold up very well. Anyone have any suggestions about people to get cups from? While I can't afford them for a little while because of my England trip, I would eventually like to get at least four... it would be cool if somone was willing to do trades also. Or there is always next x-mas... Or a late birthday present... ;-)

Ok, so I didn't get to making the cool prunted beakers tonight. I ended up making some apothecary bottles for Anastasia instead. I need to order the right color blue for the beakers. The bottles were a blast though. And I made them in all sorts of cool colors. They look quite funky and authentic since I was figuring out what I was doing. :-) Mathew did one and it was WAY too nice and Venetian. I got to use his goblet jacks for working on them and they ROCKED. I need to get me a set. They are, unfortunately, $300. Bleh. But so necessary for doing fine small work. Barely cooled down the glass at all as I was working it. Ideally I would have a pair before I go to England so I could bring with.. We will just have to see if I can generate enough income. Here are the jacks I want: http://www.glasscolor.com/products/default.aspx?cID=43&pID=859 or the goblet jacks from this page since I really like the tools these guys sell: http://www.cuttingedgeprdx.com/Products_/Black_Jacks/black_jacks.html Want want want.. sigh

Just took pics of a bunch of glass which I will link to my web page. Progress! I will hopefully have them up tomorrow so people can tell me what glass they wish to buy!

I promised to go help Mathew do some more marver casting tomorrow. More baby footprints. DOOM! This time I will remember to wear non-synthetic pants... Last time I wore my prana rock climbing pants which have webbing in the pockets and it did make me a might nervous when my pocket started heating up. Luckily nothing melted...

So proud of myself - I went to Fabric Depot before glass blowing and I only bought stuff for Hank to work on his banners. No cloth for the elfie. I was so good...
