England and back
May. 22nd, 2006 02:21 pmHank and I got back from England last night. We almost missed our flight from Vancouver to Portland, but they held it for us. It is good to be home now. The only bad thing is that I now have a fully fledged cold which has filled me up with icky goo and given me a sore throat. The glass blowing project was awesome. We can totally do something like that! The main problem will be getting people to be night stokers for about 3 weeks while the furnace is on. Maybe I can enlist some archeology students and random less employed glass blowers. I am full of wonderful plans and empty of money. Let me repeat the empty of money part - damn England is expensive. But worthwhile. I blew a lot of glass, took a lot of pictures, and will have to have a show and tell night one of these days. I probably even managed to get on the film that they are making - go me! Hopefully I will be seen by many world famous glass specialists who will want to come visit my furnace, help me get into grad school, or at least think I am cool. ;-)
