Got up. Didn't have a hed ache. soldered some. went over to parent's place to work on glass stuff (see ![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
medievalglass post). Took pics, tore off roofing, hung out w/ mum, da, ed and cat. Brought the dog and she had a blast running aroud. headache started coming back. went home. Got my package from Chinasprout! It included two bamboo diabolos with wooden handsticks and crappy string (good diabolos though and an awesome price - only $12.50!!! I paid $25 for one from a juggling store) and my silk umbrella along with some clothing items. I replaced the string with some special Henry's diaboo string, and wow what a difference. Also what a difference a less used wooden diabolo makes - way easier for some tricks! This is why I am going to replace the centers with some metal axels - so they don't wear away too much to do tricks with. I can actually do grinds with these which are SO nice - I couldn't do any grinds or cradles at Trigvy's War because I was getting to much friction on the sides of the string and it was slowing down too fast. BUT I got a little over-enthusiastic playing with my new toys and whacked myself REALLY HARD on the back of my hand with the wooden corner of the diabolo so now I am sitting here with ice on my hand and a nice big red mark. Next to the old laptop withthe broken keyboard where I have to plug in a stupid keyboard to the laptop (does this seem like it defeats the point for some reason - LAPtop). Sigh. At least I was able to transfer my harddrive out into this computer so I am not totally foobared - just pretty annoyed. And my new chinese music CD is still in the other machine.
