assbjorn & reginleif5 yesterday, and assbjorn put together two whacking sticks for me! Not only that, but one of them is in my heraldic colors, because for some reason they just happened to have purple and green duct tape floating around their house. ;-) And he fixed my vambraces and elbows so they are wearable - yay! They work AND are pretty! Woot! Now I just need to finish my shield and the tops of my legs... My first goal: get the shield done by Thursday evening (mt edge fighter practice). Second goal: get the legs done by next thursday evening. Unless I actually manage to use my shield and not get huge bruises at the Mt Edge practice on Thursday - in which case I can be lazier and not worry so much about the legs.
BTW, I have been painting my shield. Mmmmm, gotta LUV my heraldry! Purple chicken head, plumidy, and juggling ball goodness. Hopefully I will blind my opponents, somewhat making up for my suckyeness on the field.
