Still here
Nov. 1st, 2007 10:49 pmI have been absent from my computer a lot recently, due to being seriously busy. I keep doing things
that I am supposed to post pictures of. But that will have to come in later posts. For now, the short version of my life update.
I am having knee surgery on Friday, December 7th. It is an arthroscopic procedure, and a lateral release of one of my tendons in order to allow my knee cap to track correctly. If it works well, I may get the other knee done later. After suffering through a horrible summer of knee pain and taping of knees, I am really hoping it takes care of a lot of the pain. Bad part, no climbing or fighter practice for at least a month after. I plan on being very good about my physical therapy, and back being active as soon as possible.
Next big thing, I am going on a cruise with Hank, his dad, and step-mother, and some of her kids (I think). It is over Thanksgiving. We will be gone from the Saturday night before Thanksgiving until the Sunday evening after Thanksgiving. It is a Caribbean cruise through Carnival Cruise lines, something I probably never would have chosen to do on my own, but I am planning on bringing knitting and trying to have a good time despite the over-abundance of family.
Speaking of knitting, I got my ravelry invite! I am on as Elfa.
Had a fun steampunk halloween party - pictures to come. Have been doing a lot of work on the house - the roof is almost decked! Pictures to come. We have been working on the glass shop - pictures to come. Oh and my wonderful husband is lending me the money to purchase the Jen-Ken electric crucible furnace!!!! It holds 3 7lb crucibles of glass, and should cost us about $5 per day to run. I am planning on ordering it tomorrow. We should be reliably blowing glass soon!!! And yes, pictures to come, under the medieval glass lj.
