The knee surgery went well, and I am on my temporary home, the living room couch. And I have percocet rather than vicodin, go me. I pretty much have to just stay on the couch and be bored for the next day and a bit, then I have my post op appointment, and hopefully can start doing some excercises. Boring but I have my laptop, books, ipod, and crafty projects. Been getting some of my Christmas knitting finished.

Hank is feeling better, though still taking pain meds occasionally. He actually stayed home to rest his back instead of working on the house which is good - I worried about him messing it up again if he went and did hard labor right away.

I am not going to able to drive for a week or so, so feel free to give me a call or visit. This morning Zenobia brought me a latte and coffee cake - it was awesome. I accept all donations of coffee and food. ;-)

I am thinking about organizing a multi-person trunk show for next winter. I would like to get between 6 and 12 people interested and either rent a building/room (I was thinking about the Frog Pond Grange as a possibility) or rent a big tent to put up at our place in Wilsonville (and heaters to go in it). My plan is to do a lot of local advertising, with pictures of the sorts of arts and crafts we have, make really good signs to point from the main intersection at the edge of town, and put adds in the local paper. Is anyone interested in being involved? My goal is to make this an artist specific event, rather than a craft far where you don' know who will be there until you show up. That way people will know what sorts of things we have to offer and hopefully come knowing we have some things they want. The area between Wilsonville, Tualatin, and Lake Oswego seems like a good one for an arts and craft fair type event because there are all ready a lot of people going to the various x-mas tree places, fruit stands, ornament shops, and nurseries near by. We are also close to the major intersection at the edge of town near the high school, Xerox,  and Mentor Graphics, so there is a lot of commuter traffic. My hope is that between our advertisements and drop-in traffic, we could draw quite a few people in. Once I know who might be interested I can try to figure out the sort of space we would need and see if I can make it financially feasable. Ideally, I would like to have everyone put in $20 to $50 to cover rental expenses. Thoughts?
