Why am I still up?

'Cause I need to write stuff here, obviously. I blew glass this weekend, endured a visit from The Evil Overlords (ie in-laws). I spent most of today running around trying to find fittings to connect this thingamajig to that hose so we could quick-connect and disconnect the propane tanks for the glory hole in the glass shop. I ended up at A1 Couplings, and got the usual "my god, it is female" stare when walking in. I should be used to that by now (every time I go into a welding store or similar place I get the same reaction). They had to cut off the ends of the two hoses and crimp new connector bits on them, and the result seem to work ok. By the time I got back to the shop with the hoses it was 2pm, and we had planned on starting the day's glass blowing session at 10am. Leah had to leave long before I got back to the shop, so dad and I were on our own. I boxed what I hope will be a really nice goblet stem and cup (crossing fingers). I feel like the mad skilz are coming back - today's session produced exactly what I planned (I think - we will see when it is out of the annealer). I felt in control, like things were flowing nicely, and really didn't have to struggle with any aspects of the pieces I was working on. Very nice feelings to have. Ig my goblet pieces turn out as I hope, I will be making spiffy little bronze connect bits and feets, and assembling the whole shebang into an awesome goblet. I also got some tiny goblet bowls blown on Sunday afternoon. I like them, but they are pretty small. I am not sure if they are worth using, so may set them aside until I either need them for a project or am skilled enough to produce a better product and then I can dump them without regrets.
