Self Pitty...
Oct. 4th, 2008 10:08 amSo I messed up my wrist a week ago Tuesday. Tried to ignore it, but do less with it. Went to juggling festival and didn't juggle much. Canceled climbing. Canceled climbing again this Tuesday and went to the doctor. Doc says I have two areas of inflammation in my wrist. One of them is minor carpal tunnel, the other inflammation is the real pain and it is in the side of my wrist and hurts when I pick up glasses, twist anything, brush my hair... I guess the beginnings of carpal tunnel is like my bonus for going in or something. :-P I am supposed to wear a brace on my wrist and not use it for two weeks and gave me a prescription for an anti-inflammatory steroid pack. So no climbing/fighting/juggling/glass blowing/acrobatics/anything else fun and exercise for me for another week and a half. Oh yeah, and I might consider learning to fight left-handed says the doc. Hmmm. In the mean time, I have been trying to get to the gym every day to do cardio and core stuff. So yesterday while changing I didn't put my wrist brace on first and managed to totally tweak my wrist again by merely catching it on my shirt. Gr. Ouch. I am a grumpy monkey.
