Robert Asprin passed away yesterday. I have always been a fan of some good comic relief, and his books have always been just the thing to bring me out of a funk. I just finished reading his newest book, Dragon's Gold (April 2008), three days ago. Very sad to have someone who brought joy to so many people die so comparatively young (62), but he will be remembered. This weekend raise your glasses to Yang the Nauseating!

He was a major contributor to the Scribes mailing list I hosted. I haven't seen anything there about him but I am sure they're going to do something nice in his memory.

Awww, sad! My mom read the Myth series to me when I was a kid - it was one of the first fantasy series I was ever exposed too. :(

You might enjoy the sixteenth-century book that [livejournal.com profile] mmcnealy links to here:

Lots of illustrations of fools being silly (there's a great one with reading glasses).
