Here are some of the things I made in my Glass Blowing Designs class - their will be more pictures once I do a bit more cold working. They tend to do mostly sculpture punties on the bottoms of things, which means I have to do way more cold working than I like. :-P

Double Helix Platter:

This is probably my favorite item made last class. It was way too much fun, and mine was the only one that came out - so either luck or experience were on my side. I am going to have to do some more double helix style things with split bubbles, they are awesome.

Twist Neck Drop Vase

This vase still needs a little cold working, and I wish I'd done a bit wider twist on the neck, but at some point I will revisit it. It still is fairly attractive, partially due to the fun fish net pattern which is one of my recent favorite color applications.

Three Footed Platter

This is pretty cool, though I am bummed about how th "amber" color ended up being more gray. From the top it is sort of blah looking, but on an upper shelf it looks cool. Learning how to solid sculpt the legs out of the solid bit at the bottom of the bubble was a good exercise, and I could totally see me using this technique on some more pieces.

More pics will be posted as I take them.

I like the green one. I know it's a platter, but I think it would make a very nice vase too! :)
Levi brought some reproduction glass back from Denmark you might like to see. I can take pics and put in my scrapbook here on LJ. The glass is olive green.

Yes please! I love the glass pics... Platter is sort of a relative term in this case. More like "thing that is wider than tall and decorative and could theoretically hold something"... just like the twisty vase is more of a "vase" 'cause it is tall, not because it could hold anything. ;-) Form over function and all that...

MOVEMENT!
The forms look like the glass is still fluid.
Wonderful.
