Was a blast of course. I don't remember ever going to one that wasn't, although they have each been uniquely odd in their own special ways. I camped with Amalric and co. and actually took some pictures. There are some of Amalric taking Brian and Michael as squires on Friday night, as well as pics of us doing silly people tricks on Sunday evening.

Squiring:

The soon to be squires are on the right, Brian, Michael, with Michael's girlfriend Angela  next to them.

Brian ([profile] rasper77) takes his oath.

And now for the sillieness...

Izzy on the slackline.  Herodocles, me, and Amalric balancing stuff in the background.

Herodocles shows how it's done.

Amalric and I showin' our mad skilz.

Izzy does a headstand.

Brian on the slackrope.

Juggling on the rola-bola. A very serious matter.

Club passing fun.

Dude.

Taliesin gets a juggling lesson. He was doing acrobatic stuff too, but I only got pictures of him falling over at the end of hand springs.

Our audience Michael and Angela. They got juggling lessons too. No one is safe. Yes, the oranges in the box got juggled.

Illaria joins in the fun.

For some reason it is hard to take pictures of people while I am fighting. Much easier to do so when juggling in camp. ;-) The site is the Dragon's Sphere recreational area in Randle, Washington.

Was good to see you there!
I tried balancing my 10 (maybe 12?) ft ridgepole on my chin at the Grand Thing this past spring... wow, was that thing heavy! Looks like ya'll were having no troubles though, makin' fun and having laughs.

Good to see you too! Weight should be nothing, oh master of the caber toss. :-) Here are the secrets to balancing things on your chin: longer items are easier to balance since there is more time to correct when then start to fall; top heavy items are easier because you can feel what they are doing more easily and get them re-centered more easily.
