Art and Stuff

So I went to my first Art Vine meeting last night - the Newberg Arts Group. I was one of three people there - pitiful! I suggested that they advertise it during first Friday (like first Thursday in most large cities but *much* smaller and fairly cute) and they were like, "Wow, that is a great idea!" SO stupid! No idea of publicity! Sigh, I guess I can contribute something, if only a creative mind taht is not stuck on canvas.
Speaking of Art, I have two glasses in the Eugene Glass School Drinking Glass competition - the show associated with which will be at Alder Gallery in Coburg until Nov. 14th, then at the Contemporay Crafts Museum and Gallery in Portland, then down at the Eugene Glass School Gallery. One of my glasses in a medieval style claw beaker - an interesting thing to be in a contemporary crafts galler. I gues I could consider it Anglo-Saxon revival... :-)
It looks like Hank won't be going to Boca until next weekend because of the Hurricane. Which makes it just as well that I am stuck going up to bardic rather than the juggling festival, since I would be pissed if I was going to the festival and Hank had to bail. He is still not going to the event with me - he is catching my cold and should really get a lot of sleep if possible.
Doom! School will be starting soon and I will have to deal with 7:45 am Latin in Portland. That means getting up at 6 something. :-P
