So this morning my cat was racing around the house in his usual neurotic state that he uses when he wants attention, and I noticed, just after Hank left for work, huge bloody paw prints all over the family room. I was completely freaked out. I could see blood on Corie's leg and couldn't tell if it was from his foot or his but or what, but there was SO MUCH BLOOD all over the place. I even have blood on my monitor and keyboard for god's sake! Anyway, I was worried about him loosing too much blood and that it might be internal bleeding or something since I couldn't see where it was coming from (I had a cat die from that once and it all cam out the rear so I was *really* scared) and I couldn't find a cat carrier and ended up just wrapping him in a towel and sticking him in the front seat of my car. Of course he was freaked out too and kept trying to climb onto me so now I have blood stains all over my car. Luckily by the time I got to the vet the blood stains were no longer so huge and by the time I got him into one of the little examining rooms we could see that it was all coming form this comparatively small cut on his paw pad. Apparently paw wounds bleed A LOT. Anyway, it looks like he will be fine, and I am waiting for the vet to call me to go pick him up, but need to go to class soon. So my mother is coming over to maybe pick him up if I need to leave before he is ready and help me figure out what to do about all the frikkin' blood all over my house and car. Oh yeah, I was also wearing my new fencing clothes and there was blood all over them too, but I think I got it all out with cold water. And the cover for the cushion of my chair is soaking in cold water because there was blood all over that too. And there is blood spattered on the wall. OMFG.

Corwin managed to slice off part of one of his paw pads on an unknown object (the most likely thing appears to be a computer part). He is fine, with his foot bandaged up. I will need to take him in three times to have it changed, give him antibiotics every 12 hours for a while, and have three days worth of super kitty pain killers for him. He is happy because he has been provided with much catnip in addition to the pain killers and treats.
