Jan. 25th, 2006 01:10 pmLast night was the first night of the fencing class which I am GETTING PAID for TAing at Clubsport. Go me! It went well. I may even be more motivated to do some fencing because of it.
Weird side note - I had a dream in which Jeremy and Lauren randomly came back early from China and showed up at my birthday party and Jeremy got mad at me for not having started heavy fighting yet. Some connection to the gorget and my doing fencing? Probably... On the other hand, if I am just too swamped to start doing heavy yet, I can still salve my conscience by trying some SCA fencing, though it may mess up my Olympic style game a little. I am feeling like I have way too many things to do again... especially since I never go and climb routes anymore. :-P
Lael, the instructor for the fencing class at Clubsport, does non-sca horse archery. And he had three horse bows. I am going to try to drag Hank to the gym next Tuesday to meet him so we can talk archery stuff - seems very cool. If nothing else, it should help us decide what sort of Magyar/Hun type bow to get Hank for his birthday.
I actually started cleaning up the mess of doom today. But the puppy distracted me. Appliances will soon be delivered (new fridge and stove), hopefully within the next few hours. Finished new series of books by Dawn Cook - much good predictable fantasy mind fluff. Also finished second book in Jim Butcher Calderon series. More good fantasy mind fluff. Now I just need some more... need more fluff!!!!!! Even silly mystery mind fluff would work...
