A good climbing day
Jul. 17th, 2007 02:52 pmDespite some delayed muscle soreness from the house project, I managed a bunch of climbs today. I did: a 5.6 warm-up, a 5.8, a 5.10-, a 5.8, a 5.9, and the 5.6 again when I was totally pumped and falling off the wall. We climbed for about 2 hours, and it felt really good. I had to do several takes on the 5.9 and 5.10-, but feel really good that I got to the top. They were both tricky and required a lot of technique and balancing. I feel like I am definitely getting to be a better climber, and like my core strength is really improving as well as my arm strength. The fact that I set up a slack-rope in my back yard may be helping with the core strength. Now if I can just get myself going to fighter practice more regularly I will be totally set. Sadly I was still working last night so didn't make it to practice.
