vandyComputer is running again. Didn't know it was broken? Well, that's 'cause it was so I couldn't complain about it here! At any rate, I am back up and running in time to deal with more tying up of loose ends for A&S for my dearest over-worked spouse/autocrat. Glad to be back... only gone from LJ for half a week and it feels like eons!
And here are the updates on my life:
Projects: Mom's theoretically Magyar coat is wearable! Not totally done, but done enough for her to wear at A&S before I take it back and cover it with more brocade bits and kaftan ornaments. Working o Dad's Houpellande and trying to get it wearable by A&S. Good luck to me! I am still trying to get the finish sewing done on my coat courtesy of Khalja (crosses fingers). I have been sewing many Byzantine style books for the Historic Workshop, and finished several sets of brass knitting needles also. I bough patterns for some dresses (modern) I want to make and some $1/yard fabric to use on the test run on some. It is even nice enough that I can wear the dress if it comes out all right! I am looking forward to working on this, but don't know when I will have the time.
Health: Had the flue, got mostly better. Knee still hurts, but doesn't scream in agony as soon as I do anything anymore, so I have resumed light cardio and bouldering, surviving the pain, and waiting for my upcoming doctors appointment. I feel better doing excercise, even if my knee usually aches these days. Missed the regional laurels meeting 'cause I had a migraine. Bummer - I didn't have to drive to Vancouver in rush hour traffic. Oh, and the wonderful hansan purchased a massage for me for valentines day! It was a 90 min deep tissue massage and probabaly the best I have had in my entire life. Mmmmmm. Made most of the doomfull floor-grinding soreness go away.
This weekend: work on shop. Fix siding, bring in tools, put up tool holders, fix doors, work on security. Cast site tokens for A&S with assistance from mum and da.
