Crazy busy life!
May. 24th, 2007 03:59 pmFirst of all, on Tuesday night just before our D&D game my best friend got engaged! Congrats
nobu! You know you are nerdy when your husband's birthday cake has things written on it in draconic, and your friend gets engaged at a D&D game. ;-)
And since I am talking about the good stuff now, I had an awesome time at Crown, despite the 3.5 hour drive early in the morning on Saturday, and having to hurry home on Sunday. Thanks
young_raven for being company on the drive! High points of the event include seeing Alfric elevated, juggling a lot with Leith and other various people who dropped by (pun intended), and playing glow in the dark boccie with
young_raven,
ula1066 and company. I just wish there had been more time to hang out with even more cool peeps, but there is only so much I can cram into an overnight excursion.
Now for the not so good stuff, I am still exhausted from the week of DOOM! The wedding was nice, the funeral was mercifully short and sweet, but oh the travel time and family politics! I am glad to be home and have a little time to rest. I am still planning on day tripping the Grand Thing on Saturday, but tonight I am ditching fighter practice to chill out. One good point about the trip down to Reno, no one hinted about us having kids. Of course, they did point out every single house we passed that was for sale and say we should buy it and move down there, but that was at least partially a joke and a big improvement. ;-)
